Have you ever heard of “hanami”? It’s a Japanese word that means “flower viewing”.  Japan and Sweden share a long history of friendship and many aspects of the Japanese culture are all over Stockholm. Around late April, Stockholmers join the Japanese people for a Körsbärsblommans dag, the Stockholm Hanami Festival.

Let’s slow down our hectic lives and admire cherries blossoming while exchanging experiences about moving and living in Sweden.

Tip: bring some snacks, drinks, and a picnic blanket if you want to try the real hanami fika experience!

The event is free and open for everyone to join. Just remember to RSVP below to reserve your spot!

We will meet at 12:45 at Baretto cafè, in front of the Kungsträdgården bus stop.

Additional information

The place is usually quite crowded, so bear that in mind if you want to bring kids with you. If the weather is extremely bad, the event may be cancelled.
