DESCRIPTION:It’s semla season and if you haven’t tasted a semla yet\, now is your chance! \nCome join us and celebrate Fettisdagen (Fat or Shrove Tuesday) on March 1. We will meet for a fika and enjoy the traditional Swedish semla together – a cardamom-infused bun with almond paste that is topped off with cream.  YUM! \nIf this is your first time\, you’re in for a wonderful Swedish tradition. On March 12\, we will visit the Gothenburg Museum of World Culture and learn more about Mexico’s history and traditions. \nMexico’s story is one of change and resilience. It is about worlds that come and go\, great cultures that thrive\, but also a country that becomes independent. Stories of life and death follow us through the exhibition\, capturing certain moments in the history of Mexico. Among other things\, we will see murals\, painted pottery\, monuments\, and artifacts\, showing how the Day of the Dead traces its origins to rituals practiced by indigenous peoples of the Americas. \nThis event is free and open to everyone.
