The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra that has toured all over the world\, is going to perform in the shade of Slottsskogen on Monday afternoon. \nOn this day\, the City of Gothenburg’s citizenship ceremony will also be held and we will welcome 6063 new citizens from Afghanistan\, Finland\, India\, Iraq\, Iran\, Norway\, Poland\, Somalia\, the United Kingdom\, and Syria\, among others. \nEvent Details \nThe event is free and open for everyone to join. DESCRIPTION:Summer is approaching and for all Swedes the climax is called “midsommar”. Midsummer is the longest day of the year – when the sky never darkens – and this year it’s celebrated on June 24. We will anticipate the celebrations and meet on June 18 for a potluck picnic\, to prepare for this cherished tradition and to welcome the summer while exchanging experiences about moving and living in Sweden. All you need to do is bring some food\, drinks\, and a blanket to experience a real picnic potluck in beautiful Djurgården. \nDetails   \nWe will meet up in front of Rosendals Trӓdgårdskafé at 11:45 on June 18. \nThis event is free and open for everyone\, but you need to bring your own food and drink. \nPlease note that the event will be held outdoors. If the weather is extremely bad\, the event may be cancelled.
